Intro to Directing: A Fresh New Look at the Art of Theater

The stage came alive during our recent “Introduction to Directing” class led by seasoned director and guest instructor Lynn Rouyer. Over three engaging afternoons at Stardust Theatre, students explored the creative and practical foundations of theatrical directing in an inspiring and interactive environment.

One of the most exciting aspects of the class was the opportunity for students to step into the role of director themselves. Participants worked directly with scripts, practiced directing scenes, and received constructive feedback throughout the process.

The class atmosphere was collaborative, energetic, and encouraging — giving both beginners and experienced theatre enthusiasts a chance to strengthen their directing skills.
