Partner Scene Work

Discover the art of partner work in our class focused on subtext and motivation. In the first class, we will explore the subtle dynamics between actors, teaching you how to read between the lines and understand the unspoken intentions that drive each scene through collaborative exercises. At the end of the class, actors will be paired up and given a staged reading scene to take home.

For the second session, after some review and acting warm ups, you’ll put what you’ve learned to work. You will rehearse with your partner as well some one on one time with the director. The class will conclude with a performance of each scene for the group, (no memorization necessary) showcasing your reactions and responses to your scene partner’s choices. This class will help actors create more authentic, compelling performances.
